Galatians 3:11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
This verse that is referred to so many times is crystal clear. Christ redeemed us from something specific….. “The curse of the law”.
The curse of the law = God knew that somehow man always thought that he could eventually be good enough to earn his way into heaven. You go out there on the street and you talk to the average non-Christian and ask them, “What do you think is going to happen to you when you die?” And he or she will probably say something like this: “Well I hope I’m going to go to heaven”. And when you say “What do you base that hope on…. why do you think you’re going to go to heaven”, their normal answer is, “Well I think in the final measure of things when God weighs the good that I’ve done against the bad that I’ve done, He’s gonna find that I’ve done more good than bad and I think He’s gonna let me into heaven.” (How many of you have had a response like that?). The fact is that the human race has always felt that somehow they can be good enough to earn their way into heaven. And so finally God said, ”Ok man, you think you can be good enough to earn your way into heaven, well I’m going to tell you exactly what you have to do to get into heaven.” He then gave them the LAW through Moses. And He said “You are to keep this law absolutely perfectly from the moment of your birth to the moment of your death without any violation and if you do that, then you’re going to be good enough to get into heaven. Well there’s not a human being on the face of this earth that’s ever been able to do this…. with one exception…. Jesus Christ. He was the only one to keep the law 100% perfectly. And so the law curses us to an eternity in hell separated from God because it is impossible for us to keep it. That is what is meant by the “Curse of the law”. But Jesus kept the law for us perfectly and therefore He redeemed us from the curse of the law through His death on the cross.
Now this is not making reference to all the other curses and a lot of confusion comes in because the word “Curse” is used extensively throughout the old testament but you don’t find that word used in the new testament. You have to learn not to use particular phrases or words but you have to learn the definition of them, what do they mean.
What is a curse? A curse is a problem. A curse results in an unresolved problem. When we think about the word curse we think: There’s going to be destruction, instant death, some kind of terrible catastrophe. No, curses cause unresolved problems. Some of them are very severe, some of them are not as severe, and some of them are medium in severity but in the New Testament the word curse is not used very much but the same thing is talked about.
Hebrews 12:3-6 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons. “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son who He receives.”
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons for what son is there whom a father does not chasten. In the Old Testament God uses the word cursing and in the New Testament the word chastening is used but both mean the same thing – hard, difficult times. I believe God fully understands the human language whatever language it may be and I believe that God says what He means and He means what He says. And when God used the word scourges there, He knew exactly what He was talking about. The average person in the days when scourging was practiced did not survive it because they bled to death and Ananias is an example of Gods scourging, God struck Ananias dead and He struck Sapphira on the spot. The chastening in their life was so severe because of the power and the movement of the Holy Spirit and the severity of the sin that they permitted to come into their life, they defiled the temple of God. Now let’s put this scripture Hebrews 12 together with:
Deuteronomy 30:15-16 Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.”
What Moses is saying here is “Listen to me, if you obey God, if you keep His commandments, if you keep sin out of your life Gods going to bless you. Hebrews 12 says if you sin God’s not going to bless you, God’s going to chasten you, same thing just different words/different terms.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.
This is the key, God works in family lines. God has operating principles in His kingdom and we need to understand what those principles are. And we need to understand that satan understands Gods operating principles and satan uses Gods operating principles very powerfully. And because we’re not aware of them, many times we don’t use them and we fall victim and we get defeated by satan because we’re not aware of how God operates. We need to learn Gods operating principles or His modus operandi (a particular way or method of doing something). Now you need to know that God operates in family lines. Inheritance is vitally important to the Lord.
Deuteronomy 4:9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.
What God is saying is you must pass down unto your children and your descendants the knowledge of what went on in your life. You should be telling your children…. “When I obeyed God, God blessed me but when I disobeyed God, God cursed me. When I obeyed God, good things happened in my life, when I disobeyed God terrible problems happened in my life”. And the Lord said you’re to teach it to your children and to your children’s children and you’re to pass it down through the family lines. It is a commandment, it is not an option.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
These days there aren’t many people who have a good knowledge or concept of what went on in the lives of both parents, grandparents or great grandparents (try exercise). There are so many single parent homes and we’re in direct violation to the principles of God. We’re not carrying out Gods teaching or His commands in scripture, we’re not passing down through the family lines the knowledge of what’s going on in our family and satan knows it and he uses it.
Deuteronomy 5:9 “For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me.
You should have a knowledge of what went on in your family four generations back. If your family is walking in obedience to the Lord God then you’re going to be teaching your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren and so on. The knowledge of what went on in your family line is going to be passed down. But at the moment it is not and satan is having a hay day because of our fractured families all throughout the world today.
The iniquities of the forefathers are passed down even unto the fourth generation and it gets worse with each succeeding generation.
Alcoholic parents have alcoholic children, have alcoholic grandchildren, have alcoholic great grandchildren.
Child molesting parents have kids who molest their children and their children molest their children and so on. Abusive, domestic violence is a generational curse. Domestic violence goes right down through family lines. If you do much in terms of family lines you’ll see a family going along pretty good, everyone’s married and then suddenly one person will get a divorce and the generation after that has a divorce. These curses go right down through family lines but the good news is God has given us a solution and we can break all of that.
Welfare
Another generational curse is being on welfare. We are into the fifth and sixth generations of welfare and it is growing and growing. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 is very clear, “No workie, No eatie”, that’s a rather loose paraphrase but that’s in essence what it’s saying. If a man will not work neither shall he eat. Unfortunately in many cases these days you can make more money staying on the dole than working a laboring job. Our whole society is falling apart and did you know it was the welfare system that brought the Roman Empire down? So we really need to break these generational curses.
Family Lines
Let’s look at some examples at how seriously God looks at family lines.
Joshua 7:1-24 Remember the story of Jericho and how God said to Joshua that He would fight the battles for him and He would win them as long as the children of Israel obeyed His commands. God’s promises are conditional. Even salvation, you have to choose Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that’s the condition, you have to make a choice. But most all of His promises are conditional upon your obedience to God’s Word. So out of that whole army of several hundreds of thousands of men, one man disobeyed God’s commands and he took loot from the city of Jericho. And because of that, the whole army was defeated. The whole army didn’t go up to fight Ai but those that did go up to fight were defeated and 36 God fearing, God serving men were killed. But the interesting thing of it is that on that side of the cross, the way to deal with sin was to obliterate the person that committed it. Aren’t you thankful we’re living on this side of the cross….. because we can just repent and confess and have our sin forgiven. Back then you had to kill the person that committed sin.
In those days the women did not fight in the army of Israel, the women did not go up to Jericho with Achan. So there’s absolutely no way possible they could’ve been a partaker in Achan’s sin. But let’s look and see what the punishment was. The Lord said they had to remove it out of the camp.
Verse 24 – Then Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen (the oxen didn’t go up to fight), his donkeys, his sheep, his tent and all that he had and they brought them to the valley of Achor and Joshua said, “why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day”. So all Israel stoned him with stones and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones. Why were all of Achan’s children killed right along with Achan in order to wipe iniquity out of the camp? It’s Because of God’s principles of inheritance. Do you have children who are rebelling? Maybe you need to take a good hard look in the mirror.
The principles of inheritance are firm, that’s how God works. An excellent example of this is the conflict in the nation of Rwanda. There was the Hutu tribe that rose up and started slaughtering the Tutsi and then several hundred people ran to neighboring Zaire/Congo refugee camps. And then there was a swing in the balance of power and the Tutsi tribe that was being slaughtered rose up and started Slaughtering the Hutu tribe and several hundred thousand of them ran over …….., and so on. And so here we had the two refugee camps side by side in Zaire/Congo. Now firstly you may think we’re talking about savages living in mud huts but that is not the case at all. We’re talking about modern day society. Such people were doctors, lawyers, engineers, business men. We’re talking about people who had cars, trucks, trains, planes, modern day buildings and electricity who were slaughtering one another. A reporter had written about going to these two refugee camps and he interviewed more than a hundred people in each camp and he listed them by occupation. And most of the people he listed had a minimum of a four year college degree, they were at least a business man of some level.
And his question to each one was this. “Now that the war is over, do you think you can go back into Rwanda and live at peace with the people of your opposite tribe?” One hundred percent of the answer was “NO! Not until the blood of my relatives has been avenged”. And so blood calls for blood and the killing goes on. The curse of the continent of Africa is intertribal warfare and that curse has been brought right over to America, only it manifests itself as intergang warfare – the same thing that’s happening in Africa is also happening in America. Until it’s dealt with, that continent will never prosper because there’s this continual intertribal warfare and it’s passed down from generation to generation. You may be called to help people from Africa break those generational curses off their lives so that they would no longer fall victim to that generation curse of intertribal warfare. It’s interesting that churches can fall victim to this type of curse through individuals who carry this generational curse. In some churches there is so much fighting, division and competition going on that needs to be broken off. It’s generational, passed down from one generation to another and the spirits are growing more powerful with each succeeding generation.
Illnesses from generational curses
Another example – Not all illness is demonic in fact much of It is not. Much of it is because our bodies are affected by sin. God proclaimed that we should die and so from the moment of our birth we begin to age and that makes us vulnerable to a whole range of illnesses. But some illnesses are demonic and demon spirits are capable of creating physical illnesses but don’t fall into the trap of thinking that every little sniffle you have comes from a demon, it’s probably from the common cold virus. Some illnesses are the result of a generational curse but not all, they are environmentally related.
** Rebecca knows of one particular woman who didn’t get healed because she had not dealt with generational curses. She was the first person in her family line to accept Jesus Christ. She had carefully cleansed her life through reading Rebecca’s books and understood spiritual warfare. Rebecca got a telephone call from her stating that when she cleansed her life she commanded the generational curses to be broken over her life but realized that they hadn’t been and she didn’t know why. When Rebecca asked what happened she said there’s a generational curse on her family line that she researched identifying extra-ordinary immorality and also discovered that every single member of her family for four generations has died in their 40s from cancer of the pancreas. Now medically speaking cancer of the pancreas is not heritable, it does not pass down through family lines. There are some illnesses that do but this condition is not one of them. She continued to say that she fell ill and had an MRI done with results showing that she has a huge tumor in her pancreas. She said she’s scheduled to go into surgery tomorrow and they’re going to open her up and do an open biopsy but they’re convinced it’s malignant and that she is convinced also. Her question to Rebecca was “Where did I go wrong?” Why wasn’t the curse broken over my life? Rebecca preceded to explain what she should do next and then gave her the scriptures saying that after she had finished obeying Gods word then she can command any generational curses on her life to be broken and then ask God that if any of those curses are from Him to lift them off and then take oil, anoint her whole abdominal area and command satan to get his claws out of her pancreas and take his cancer with him in the name of Jesus.
So she did and then she went to surgery the next morning. Her husband called Rebecca 2 oclock that afternoon and informed Rebecca that his wife is out of surgery now and the doctors went in and they couldn’t find a thing. Hallelujah! That is one instance of healing that was a direct result of dealing with generational curses. So if you identify that a particular illness is as a result of a generational curse then you also need to deal with it accordingly. But if it doesn’t work and you’re still having trouble then you can apply SCRIPTURE and after you have finished obeying God’s word then you can command any generational curses on your life to be broken and you can ask God if any of those curses are from Him to lift them off and then take oil and anoint yourself by covering the whole area of the illness or disease and command satan to get his claws out of that area and take the "illness/disease (name it)” with him in the name of Jesus.
The solution
Leviticus 26 In this chapter Moses is detailing for the children of Israel all of the chastisement and the curses from God that is going to come on their lives when they turn away from God and they no longer serve Him and they no longer keep His commandments, and the list is awesome. There’s going to be total economic collapse, there’s going to be drought, famine, plagues, diseases, infiltration from foreign armies and destruction etc.
Verse 38 – You shall perish among the nations and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And those of you who are left shall waste away in their iniquity in your enemies lands also in their father’s iniquities which are with them they shall waste away.
Let me make one thing clear. God is not going to throw you in hell because of your parents’ sins. Each one of us has to deal with God individually for our own sins but iniquities are the consequences of sins. You’re going to be affected by the consequences of your parents’ sins. What we are talking about here in terms of generational curses, salvation is not the issue here.
The basic consequences of sin is this….. we continue to perform the very same sins that our forefathers did and then that brings all the consequences into our lives. You cannot sin without facing the consequences of those sins, that’s just the way it is.
Example – Practicing homosexuality.
If someone was living a homosexual lifestyle and he came and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior and he stopped practicing homosexuality. Suppose two years down the road he gets temped and he falls and he goes back briefly into a homosexual relationship or contact. Do you think that he has the right to believe that because he’s a Christian he cannot get AIDS? Yes or No?
Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man shall reap what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
There are consequences to our sins when we don’t deal with them.
So the solution to dealing with generational curses begins in…..
Leviticus 26:40 But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt, then I will remember My covenant.
The key here is confession. What is a confession? Again, confession is a clear, concise statement of fact.
When you came to the altar you prayed the sinners prayer and said, “Lord Jesus I want you to be my Lord and Savior, please come and live in my heart and forgive all my sins, wash away all of my sins.” That was a confession in this sense….. You stated clearly and concisely that from this point on that Jesus Christ is now your God and savior, that’s confession. But when you said “Lord Jesus please forgive all my sins, that was not a confession because that was not a clear, concise statement of fact.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
So clearly, in order to be cleansed you have to do something. You have to confess. And the problem is we never make a specific confession of sin, we just say “Lord please forgive all my sins”. I bet every one of you at some point in your life have gone to bed and you’ve laid down and you’ve prayed like this…. “Oh Lord please forgive any sins that I’ve committed today and I don’t know about”.
And what has this accomplished? ZERO! Why, because that’s not a confession. What you should’ve been praying was “Blessed Holy Spirit, if I have sinned today and I’m not aware of it, please convict me and draw it to my attention”.
A confession is a statement of fact, “Lord, on this day I stole from so and so”, “On that instance I lied to so and so”, “Lord, I had committed sexual sin with so and so”. Your confession must be absolutely specific.
Example – Sexual immorality
If you’ve committed sexual sin with someone, you must list each person individually. It’s not enough to say, “Lord, forgive all the people I’ve sinned with sexually”. That’s not a confession. The confession is, “Lord, I sinned with John, I sinned with Jane, I sinned with Joe etc”. And if you can’t remember the name, you may remember the incident. “Lord, when I was drunk in the back seat of the car when I was 16 years old”, or whatever.
The same is true with confessing the iniquities of our forefathers. It’s not enough to just say, “Lord, please forgive the sins of my forefathers”. The Lord says you are to confess what they are and He gave us several examples.
Nehemiah 9
Whenever there was a revival in the nation of Israel, the first thing they did was they gathered all the people together and they held what they called the solemn assembly.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and so forth….”
But the question not too many people ask is this, “After what?” The Lord said it was after something that He would pour out His Spirit. We have to go further back in scripture to see what that “After” is.
Verse 12 – after personal repentance. “Therefore says the Lord, turn to me with all your heart with fasting, with weeping, with mourning so rend your heart and not your garments and return to the Lord your God.”
Verse 15 - after a solemn assembly. “Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bride groom go out from his chamber and the bride from her dressing room. Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar and let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord.”
Nehemiah understood this principle and when he was sent to complete the building of the wall around Jerusalem the people were in a desert state, they were dried up spiritually, they were discouraged. Life was hard. The work on the wall had come to a halt. And he discovered that the people there had fallen into exactly the same sins that their forefathers had sinned that had resulted in being carried off into Babylon in the first place. So in order to bring about revival, Nehemiah held a solemn assembly.
Nehemiah 9:1 Now on the 24th day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dust on their heads. Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.
Do you see this? They confessed not only their sins but they also confessed the sins of their fathers.
And they stood up in their place (look at the time frame)… and they read from the book of the Law of the Lord their God for one fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.
One fourth of a day is 6 hours – and they confessed their sins.
So clearly they weren’t praying a little prayer that said, “God, please forgive all the sins of my fathers. They were confessing those sins one by one. They were confessing personal sins and they were confessing the sins of their fathers.
Solemn Assemblies
Churches and small/home groups should hold solemn assemblies. These assemblies carry phenomenal power because God honors obedience to His Word and he sets out operating principles for us in the Old Testament.
Romans 11:24 says we’ve been grafted into the vine, so these operating principles in the Old Testament apply to us today.
If you’re a person who would want to hold a solemn assembly in your church then you might want to do it over two days/nights so that it doesn’t go too late. The first assembly is where you confess the sins of your forefathers and then in the second assembly on the second day confess your individual sins.
Revival based on God’s Word.
Do you want revival??? Obey God’s Word and it will come. The trouble is people won’t work together to bring it about but that’s how to get revival.
Ezra 9 it worked, Nehemiah 9 it worked, Daniel 9 we have a beautiful example in Daniels prayer of the sorts of prayers to pray. Joel 2:12 and then that resulted in Joel 2:28….. and then afterwards… I will pour out My spirit on all flesh.
We have an example of that in the upper room. Prior to the day of Pentecost - all those days. Don’t you think the disciples spent a great deal of time following what was set out in the Old Testament and praying and repenting for their sins and the sins of their forefathers? You see they were well versed in the Old Testament….. “and then the Holy Spirit fell”, they were altogether in one place with one accord. That’s how to have revival!!
So, to the best of your ability get your pen and paper and go through the list of the most common sins. If you think that this sin is to be found in your family line, then write it down.
The very first sin that you need to write down is that your family line did not teach with continuity what went on in the family to the children and to the grandchildren and down through the generations. You don’t what went on in your family line. Your family has not been operating according to God’s Word.
If you think of anything else, write it down. If you don’t know for sure, write it down anyway. “If in doubt, cast it out”.
Begin confessing
Okay, what you need to do now is you take your piece of paper in front of your nose and you’re going to open your mouth and you’re going to speak out loud and you’re going to go through each sin individually and you’re going to confess it to God.
It’s going to be something like this…. “Father God in the name of Jesus I confess to you, my forefathers have sinned. In my family line there have been people who have rejected God’s Word. In my family line many of them have participated in gossip, in my family line there has been the sin of pride and so on. If you know of a particular family member that’s done something specific you name it.
From this point I will be speaking to leaders who are teaching a group. If you’re an individual going through this process then apply this to your life accordingly.
Person leading a group
Get your group to speak out loud and when they have finished, have them close their mouths and sit down and remain silent so that you know that everyone has finished. Remind the group that they are standing in God’s presence and encourage them to be reverential of God. There will be no talking or private conversations. Again, when they finish, sit down and remain silent until everybody is done. Then you will all stand together and the leader will lead the group through the steps of breaking generational curses.
Leader should pray first…. “Father in the name of Jesus and in obedience to Your Word, we come together today/tonight into Your presence O God because we realize we are a sinful people and that we come from sinful people and that our families have sinned against You O God, and You are righteous and just to bring the iniquities of our fathers into our lives. But now O God we thank You that You made provision through the shed blood of Jesus Christ that we can be separated from the iniquities of our forefathers and so now today/tonight in this hour, we stand here O God to open our mouths and to confess to You to the best of our ability the iniquities of our forefathers”.
Now get the group to open their mouths and speak out loud and confess.
Now it’s time to break the curses
As the result of the sins of our forefathers, there are two different types of curses that can come into our lives. One is God’s direct chastisements or a curse from God if you will. And the second is a curse from satans kingdom. Now God’s chastisement is always with a direct purpose and that’s to bring about reconciliation and restoration. But curses from satans kingdom are for one purpose only and that’s for destruction. So now that you’ve obeyed God’s Word, let’s all join together and pray to the Lord and ask Him that if there are any generational curses on your family line that are from Him in chastisement let’s ask Him to lift them.
Pray together, “Father God, in the name of Jesus today/tonight to the best of my ability, I have obeyed Your Word. And now O Lord, if there are any generation curses on my life or on the lives of my descendants, I humbly ask you to lift them off right now in the name of Jesus. And Father today/tonight in Your great mercy I am asking You to completely separate me from the iniquities of my forefathers with the precious blood of Jesus and I thank You for it in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Leader prays along these lines
“Father, in the name of Jesus I thank You for this opportunity and now O God I am asking You will send Your angels here to this place. I am praying Lord that You will put a shield over the children, that You will put a shield over all family members. And as we kick out the demons from our lives today/tonight Lord, I am asking that You will send Your angels to grab them and to take them out of the area. I am petitioning You Lord that they will not touch the children, they will not touch other relatives but that You will send angels to take them to wherever You want them to go and I thank You for it. And once again in the name of Jesus I command every demon spirit in this place to be bound and I forbid you from manifesting or from functioning in any way in the name of Jesus – Amen.
Deal with the curses
Now we need to deal with any generational curses that come from satan. There are two steps to dealing with a curse because a curse is a sending mechanism, it’s like a gun. And that part of the curse that causes the problems are demon spirits like the bullets from a gun. And the way we wage war is we make a proclamation through the spoken word and that makes us interact with the spirit realm, so it’s pretty simple.
Pray – “In the name of Jesus, I take authority over all generational curses on my life and on my descendants’ lives that are from satan. I command you curses be broken now and forever in the name of Jesus - Amen.
Deal with the demons
Pray – “In the name of Jesus, I take authority over every demon spirit associated with those generational curses, get out of my life, get out of the lives of my descendants right now and forever in then name of Jesus – Amen.
Baby dedications - Christian
In Christianity we have a thing called baby dedications. We dedicate our children for 3 specific reasons:
Baby dedications - Demonic
Every other religion on the face of this earth also has baby dedications for precisely the same 3 reasons. Only, these children are not being dedicated to Jesus Christ, they are being dedicated to whatever God of that religion. And every other religious God is a demon spirit, with one exception. In Christianity we dedicate the single baby, in every other religion they not only dedicate that baby, but they also dedicate all of its descendants. So you might have a great great great great grandmother who was in some pagan religion who dedicated her daughter to the service of the god of her religion and as a descendant you were also dedicated. Now when you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you broke that dedication and therefore in satans kingdom you are considered a traitor. And so the instant you broke that dedication you instantaneously activated a curse of destruction in your life. And that’s the reason why so many people if you talk to them will say to you something like this, “You know, before I accepted Christ my life was really going along fairly smoothly, but afterwards all hell brok e loose in my life because of those curses of destruction. So this includes the Roman Catholic Church because most all babies in the Roman Catholic Church are dedicated to specific saints and we’re to have nothing to do with the spirits of dead people and therefore you are dedicated to a demon spirit. So if you feel there was possibly such a dedication in your life then this is something you need to take care of. Once again, if in doubt, cast it out! Kick it out, break it, what have you got to lose?
Dealing with demons via dedications
The first thing you’re going to do is make a proclamation:
“In the name of Jesus, I proclaim before Heaven and hell that I am a servant of Jesus Christ, Jesus is my God this day and for all of eternity. In the name of Jesus I renounce and reject any dedication on my life and any dedication on the lives of my descendants to the service of any god other than the one True God Jesus Christ.”
Now we need to deal with the demons that were placed into your life through that dedication.
Pray: “In the name of Jesus I take authority over every demon spirit that was placed into my life or the lives of my descendants through those dedications. Get out of my life, get out of the lives of my descendants right now and forever in the name of Jesus”.
Dealing with the curses of destruction
Step one: Break the curse
Step two: Kick the demons out associated with the curse
Demon spirits are inherited. Every religion on the face of the earth knows that except Christianity. In the American Indian religion the shamans pick out two wills. One will is what happens to their physical goods and the other will is who gets their spirits. Same thing with the Shinto priests, they make up two wills, one will is who gets their physical goods and the other will is who gets their spirits.
So that doorway of inheritance unless you specifically close it, it will still be open. There are many cases where people’s lives have been going along quite well and all of a sudden a father or a mother or a grandfather or grandmother died and what follows shortly afterward is that Christian person suddenly went nuts. They went out into the world and they left church behind and they began committing all kinds of ungodly and immoral acts and guess why? Because the spirits came into their lives because that doorway of inheritance was open.
Example: There is a woman who was the oldest daughter of the head shaman for the Sioux Indian tribe in America. And there was a man who went to the
Sioux Indian tribe up in the Dakota’s and planted a missionary church. He met this daughter of the shaman and he led her to Christ. Eventually they got married. She was the oldest of 10 children and the only family member to accept Christ. Things went well for 5 years and then her father died. Within one hour of his death she went crazy. She went to the church and took a can of gasoline and poured it all through the church and set it on fire. She beat her husband to a pulp and put him in the hospital and utterly destroyed their house and things went down-hill from there. Pretty soon she realized that she was destroying her family and then she started trying to commit suicide, why? Well out of the 10 children, who is the one you think the demons would want to destroy the most?.... the only one who is a Christian. And because she had never closed the doorway to inheritance, they were free to come right into her. The missionary board kicked this couple out, they lost their home and they lost everything. They moved and they went to another church and while they were attending another church and in this church they learned from a church member this principle of breaking generational curses. The wife was then totally delivered and set free and they are back ministering to the Sioux Indian tribe and the woman is bringing people to the Lord but this time she’s setting them free and doesn’t leave any of them with the doorways of inheritance open.
So let’s deal with that in your life now. You have repented for the sins for your forefathers so now all the demons that came into your life through inheritance no longer have the legal right to stay and they no longer have the legal right to stay in your children and you want to close that doorway forever so that in the future if some of your forefathers die, you don’t that door open for those demons to come into your life or into the lives of your descendants.
Pray: In the name of Jesus, I take authority over every demon spirit that came into my life through inheritance. I command you spirits get out of my life, get out of the lives of my descendants, right now and forever, in the name of Jesus. And now Oh Lord in the name of Jesus I am asking that you would close that doorway of inheritance, seal it shut in my life and in the lives of my descendants, and I thank you for it in Jesus’ name AMEN.
IT IS DONE!!! HALLELUJAH!!! PRAISE YOU JESUS!!!!
So what we’ve been doing is deliverance, and can you see how easy it is? And you know as your life is cleaned out, the Holy Spirit is just free to flow and to expand you. You’ll feel like a million kilos of weight has come off your back. It just makes such a difference in people’s lives to have all of this trash broken off their lives. It’s simple and there’s nothing complicated about it but it has to be done. You have to follow the principles laid out in God’s Word and it just has to be done.
Your lives will change and you will see a huge difference as you live it out over the coming weeks and the coming months.
